about

Back in the late 90s, SSR's multidirectional dish received a very intriguing transmission, which as it turns out was sent straight from the deepest heart of Detroit, Michigan. The crew sat down, decoded, listened, and were instantly drawn into The Arc Of Blueness.

Deeply rooted in experimental techno but clearly drawing from many other sources, The Arc Of Blueness is a world of its own, an unidentified flying sonic object: hypnotic textures & grooves interspersed with eerie vocals, a resolutely lo-fi sound production concept which makes the entire album even more mysterious, a couple of heart-rending love songs... Highlights include among others the majestic All My Love, and an obsessive, Detroit-meets-The-Residents track entitled Mirabella.

The being referred to as "Q-Moog" says that he was born and raised in New York, and enriched by both his African and Aborigine cultures. After the death of his mother, at the age of 12, he re-located to Detroit, where he first became a jazz experimentalist and then endeavoured to develop his personal musical and spiritual vision. Most know him only as "Green".
